We're confronted by insurmountable opportunity!
-- Pogo (Walt Kelly)
MentalArcade is home to workshops, activities, and resources to empower teachers and students, in school and at home. Most of the ideas and activities are leveraged by computer, communication, and collaboration techologies to develop the relationships, relevance, and rigor needed in all learning. All of the software and websites used in ViSA are freely available to teachers and students on Windows, Macintosh, and often Linux computers.
This website is made possible by the generous support of the Motorola Foundation and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). Motorola has funded the promotion of and faculty training to use high-quality science and mathematics education materials and pedagogy. DCED has funded promotion and teacher training to use Internet-accessible educational resources to help Pennsylvania students develop rigor in science, mathematics and 21st Century Skills
